Participating in the IslandArchives Effort

The Robertson Library welcomes participation of all kinds in bringing the wealth of Island history to the broader community, including:

  • Donations
    • The digitization facility at the Robertson Library is one of the best equipped in Canada, and our Islandora software is recognized around the world as a leader in the stewardship of digitial collections. We also provide employment for UPEI students throughout the year and they are an important part of our effort. If you would like to contribute financially to this effort we would love to hear from you.
  • Content
    • The key to rich digital collection like IslandArchives is rich content. If you have material that you think should be in IslandArchives, please let us know.
  • Volunteers
    • We are hoping to provide a number of opportunities for members of the Island community to participate in the ongoing development of IslandArchives. Whether in the form of feedback, editing input for OCR'd content or other contributions, we are happy to consider ways to involve you in these historic efforts.
  • Ideas
    • While the Robertson Library has one of the most knowledgable and experienced digitization teams in the world, we are always looking for new and innovative ways to deliver content in an open and collaborative way. Send us your ideas, sample sites that you liked, or anything that you feel will help us in making IslandArchives a signiature site.

Please feel free to contact us anytime!
