A series of letters written by Georgina Fane Pope to her family in Canada while she was serving as a nurse in the British military contingent in South Africa during the Boer War (1900). The majority of the letters are digitized typed transcripts prepared at the office of the Secretary of State in Ottawa, where Pope’s brother, Joseph, was Under Secretary. The remaining letters are digitized versions of the handwritten letters accompanied by transcripts prepared in 2023/2024 by researchers Katherine Dewar and Jane Dyment.
