The Beechwood Gardens was a project of Mrs. Gordon MacMillan. She had a great passion for gardening. Her gardens were located on the MacMillan homestead on the Ferry Road. Activities and events often took place at the Gardens, and members of the Women's Institute were frequent visitors.
