This picture was taken at the Kensington Island Narratives Program's website launch on November 7th, 2011 at the Murray Christian Center. Awards were presented on behalf of the Province to the Kensington Island Narratives Program. Additionally, Gerald McCarville was presented a Heritage Award for his efforts to preserve Kensington's history. Ruby Cousins was presented a Seniors' Award for her efforts to promote seniors' rights and well-being in Kensington and surrounding communities. Provincial MP and Finance Minister, Wes Sheridan, was on hand to present the awards. Finally, there was also a ceremonial cutting of the Island Narratives cake followed by a website demonstration.
