Description

In the spring of 1854, a young English
boy raised on his grandfather's
tales of the sea shipped aboard an old
brig in search of his own adventure.
He found it on the southwestern shore
of Prince Edward Island. His experiences
resulted in a delightful vignette
of mid-19th century Island life, recorded
many years later and reproduced
below.
