Her arrival was not noteworthyfor the speed cf the crossing nor for hermain cargo, which was ordinary enough.But she did bring news direct fromEurope cf a civil war in France betweenthe regicidal republicans and the royalists.The British papers predicted that the throne of France would soon be restored, ending thefour-month old war between Britain andFrance.
